Egypt’s First Green Customs Facility:
Sokhna, NOV 2025– At TransMEA 2025, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Depot Kadmar International was awarded the EDGE Advanced Certification by the World Bank Group , becoming Egypt’s first green-certified customs and logistics hub.
The EDGE Advanced Green Building Certification awarded to Depot Kadmar International represents a major milestone in sustainable logistics development. This global accreditation, issued by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) – a member of the World Bank Group, recognizes our facility’s superior performance in energy efficiency, water conservation, and reduced embodied carbon.
Achieving this certification positions us as a regional pioneer in green warehousing, demonstrating our commitment to building environmentally responsible infrastructure that aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and international sustainability standards.
Located within the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) and spanning 110,000 m², the facility achieved:

- 33% water savings
- 53% reduction in carbon footprint
